So it begins.
In the end of May, Christine and Josh left their jobs, put all their worldly posessions in a storage shed, married and drove north to Alaska. Their lives working at Chelatna Lake Lodge, a fly-in fishing lodge, began in June. In September, they will pack once again and travel the Pan-American Highway from Prudhoe Bay, Alaska, to the tip of South America, pondering just how long they can make a honeymoon last.
This site will chronicle the adventures — good, bad, and hopefully interesting — of the newly-wed couple in their year-long honeymoon.

Will be reading faithfully. Happy honeymooning.
Hey! Found your blog – it’s great! I’ve already subscribed and can’t wait to read more. Have a great trip.
We have subscribed to your blog and are following your adventure…
Are you guys in or near Chile today?
We are/were headed there in less than a week or so. We´re in southern peru now, in Arequipa, and going south into Chile on Monday. The first thing our taxi driver wanted to know this morning was if we were going to Chile and if we heard about the earthquake.
It sounds horrible.
Glad you guys are a good distance away. Things could get exciting down there. Keep us posted.
Christine and Josh,
Sorry to interrupt your honeymoon, but….
Is there anything you can send to the CST about what you’re seeing, hearing in Peru about the earthquake. We’d love to get a local angle of some sort on this. Also if you know of any other Americans (or even Wyomingites!) you’ve encountered.
Thanks,
Your chauffeur,
Tom Morton
Christine and Josh,
Thanks ever so much. We hope to run this as a sidebar tomorrow.
We never should have closed our Santiago bureau.
Tom
